Inspiration

Two years ago the Eriksfält and Blekingsborg tenants’ associations in Malmö chose to extend and glaze in all 651 balconies on their properties. They used to use the open balconies mostly for storing crates of drink and winter tyres. There was simply no room to do anything else. Today, it’s a different picture. We see pensioners enjoying a coffee in the sun, kids doing their homework and families laying the table for dinner. Essentially, residents have gained an extra room that they can use however they like – and the sad old façade has now been brought to life again.
